When you create a Login ID or contact us, we may collect a variety of information including your name, email address, mailing address, and/or phone number.
How we use your personal information
We may use your personal information to reach back out to you after looking into a potential issue you have raised. We may also use your personal information to inform you about app updates and upcoming events. If you don’t want to be on our mailing list, you can opt out anytime by using the opt-out link included on any mass email.
Collection and Use of Non-Personal Information
We do collect data in a form that does not, on its own, permit direct association with any specific individual. We may collect, use, transfer, and disclose non-personal information for any purpose. The following are some examples of non-personal information that we collect and how we may use it:
We collect your zip code so that we can show you the merchants and coupons near you and We collect your unique device identifier to prevent unauthorized users from gaining access to merchant coupons and for anti-fraud purposes. If we ever combine personal information with non-personal information the combined information will be treated as personal information.
In order to provide the “Coupon or Deal Alerts” feature in the MyCampus Deals app, we require access to the real-time geographic location of your MyCampus Deals app device. This location data is collected anonymously in a form that does not personally identify you.
We use this data to determine when you are physically close to a merchant for which you have a valid, unused coupon. When the requirements are met, you will receive a notification as a reminder. Additionally, when you redeem a coupon, your location at the time of redemption along with your unique device identifier is recorded in a log and passed to the related merchant for their records so they can track the effectiveness of the coupons offered. You may withdraw consent to MyCampus Deals access to your real-time geographic location data at any time by turning off the Location Services settings (as applicable) on your device.
Cookies and Other Technologies
MyCampus Deals and Karma Tribes may use “cookies” and other technologies such as pixel tags and web beacons on it’s website, app and emails to help us understand user behavior and know which parts of our website people have visited. We treat these cookies and other technologies as non-personal information. However, wherever identifiers such as Internet Protocol (IP) addresses are considered personal information by local law, we treat these identifiers as personal information.
If you would like to disable cookies, you may do so via your web browsers. However, if you do, certain features of the MyCampus Deals and Karma Tribes website may not be available once cookies are disabled.
Just like most companies that provide internet services, we automatically store some of the information we gather in log files, like: browser type, Internet Protocol (IP) addresses, referring and exit websites and applications, operating system, clickstream data and date/time stamp.
This information provides us with the demographic information about our user base as a whole and helps us learn about user behavior on our website. This, in turn, helps us improve our products and services.
In certain email messages, in order to determine the interest of certain topics, we use a “click-through URL” linked to content on our website. When one of these links are clicked, behind the scenes the users pass through a separate web server before arriving at the destination page on our website. Should you not want to be tracked in this way, do not click text or graphic links in the email messages.

MyCampus Deals and Karma Tribes may pass on certain personal information to strategic partners to improve your customer experience. For example, if you have an issue with you app, we may pass your personal information to a strategic partner to help you resolve the issue. Personal information will not be shared with third parties for their marketing purposes.
If required by law, legal process, litigation, and/or requests from public and governmental authorities within or outside your country of residence, MyCampus Deals and Karma Tribes may disclose your personal information if necessary or appropriate.
We may also disclose information about you if required to protect our operations or users. In the event of a sale, merger, or reorganization we may transfer any and all personal information we collect to the relevant third party.

MyCampus Deals and Karma Tribes takes the security of your personal information very seriously, but remember that no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your Personal Information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
We take extra precautions to protect the safety and privacy of children using MyCampus Deals and Karma Tribes products and services. Accordingly, we do not knowingly collect, use or disclose personal information from children under 13, without verifiable parental consent. If we learn that we have collected the personal information of a child under 13, or equivalent minimum age depending on jurisdiction, without first receiving verifiable parental consent we will take steps to delete the information as soon as possible.

The MyCampus Deals and Karma Tribes app displays coupons being offered by third party merchants. Any information collected by these third party merchants, is governed by their privacy practices. We encourage you to learn about the privacy practices of those third party merchants.
